Oscillation tile tableau

Like with the Oscillation Plates this pattern of black glaze lines has been applied with a pendulum. The result shows the movement of the pendulum, it traces the oscillation. Where the Oscillation Plates show parts of the pattern, the tile tableau shows the complete movement.

With gravity as the acting force, these tiles are decorated by a pendulum. The patterns are a graphic representation of the oscillation of a pendulum, revealing a hidden pattern that exist in nature. The result is a play between the mathematical rules of the natural oscillation and the randomness of the human that initiates the swing of the pendulum. This combination makes each pattern unique.
